    MANAGEMENT TEAM

    The Head Office Finance Division oversees all financial matters relating to the group which include financial and management accounting, tax planning, treasury management and, budgetary and cost control. The function plays a major role in providing financial input for capital expenditure and business expansion programmes.

    The Corporate Planning function encompasses preparation of detailed feasibility studies relating to acquisitions, mergers, financial restructuring or other issues that will have a bearing on our company's future operations. To date, we have established joint venture manufacturing facilities in Thailand and China.

    MARKETING
    The Marketing Department is responsible for product management of the following product groups :-

    Led by experienced Area Sales Managers, we have teams of salesmen equipped with the latest hand held computers providing personal services directly to customers which comprise sundry shops, coffee shops, Chinese medical halls, minimarkets, supermarkets, hypermarkets and hotels.

    MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (MIS)
    We subscribe to utilising appropriate available up-to-date computer technology to optimise business opportunities. This is proven by the fact that we were one of the first companies to provide our sales personnel with hand held computers to capture sales transactions at the source. We have embarked on a major project to integrate our financial, human resources, production, logistics, purchasing and sales functions at all branches. These information will be consolidated on-line to our Head Office.

    Those who join us in our MIS Department will gain exposure in the following areas :

    ENGINEERING / TECHNICAL
    The Head Office Engineering / Technical Department supports the engineering operations of our Group of Companies. Tasks involve planning, controlling and coordinating of all engineering operations relating to maintenance of land, buildings, machinery and equipment as well as installation of new machines and equipment.

    RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT AND QUALITY & ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT
    As a leader in the food and drinks industry, we pride ourselves of having one of the best research and development teams in the country. Our team of Food Technologists and Chemists constantly update their knowledge through participation in national as well as international seminars and courses in the development of food technology. Day to day activities include developing new or improved technical processes, new or improved products as well as utilising different materials and raw ingredients.

    The Quality Control and Assurance function involves carrying out laboratory testing as well as advising the production function on quality standard problems.

    BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
    The Business Development Department monitors relevant economic, financial and social market and administrative trends with the main objective of identifying new market opportunities. Projects include enhancing existing products, developing new products and acquisition of new products or business partners.
